Through a unique service, BushED offers tutors to Geographically Isolated (GI) families to support children’s education needs.
These tutors have registered their desire to help and their skill sets and are prepared to travel to your property or supply remote tutoring via Skype.
Many of these tutors are retired or active service teachers, past school principals and in an increasing number, professionals from other sectors with a passion to teach.
These tutors are also travellers. They include volunteering on yoru property as part of their travel plans and many start planning in teh November teh year before their journey. Families looking to gain access to such a tutor or number of tutors for next year should consider their needs and make an application asap.
The process is
Register for a BushED family Account
List your request for tutors by creating a Job Placement Request
Our team will review your application, contact you and if all is ok re insurance, public liability etc we will publish your request to our tutors.
Tutors then apply and you will receive an email as will we. Together with you, Bushed will review the volunteer application an if you are happy to accept them, we pass over the communications and step back.
Volunteers accepted through this process will be entitled to receive up to $1000 in travel cost reimbursement. If the volunteers are NOT organised through this process and with BushED’s notice, they WILL NOT be entitled to any cost reimbursement. No retrospective applications will be accepted.
